YHC arrived at the AO a little early but exhausted from a late night in preparing for a 2nd consecutive Q this week. @doublemint was scheduled to Q but was on IR due to a back injury. (There is no truth to the rumor that he injured it in a swing-and-miss elbow directed at @thedipper in Sunday’s basketball game.) As YHC was parking his mighty F250, he saw @rooney on a bicycle with a child seat. I figure the seat serves as a kind of parachute offering more resistance to increase the ride’s degree of difficulty. Soon other members of the Pax arrived including @jang-a-lang and @frostedflake who arrived on foot and narrowly avoided a hit and run attempt by the near-blind @madoff. With no FNG’s in attendance, YHC gave a speedy, but accurate, rendition of the mission statement and we moseyed around the tree of life and up to the Big Rock Stadium parking lot for:
- Side Straddle Hop X 20 IC
- Cotton Picker X 20 IC
- Sun God X 20 IC Forward/Reverse
- Windmill X 20 IC
- Imperial Walker X 20 IC
YHC then had the Pax mosey back to the picnic tables for:
- Dips X 20 IC
- Urkins X 20 SC
- Step Ups X 20 IC
- Derkins X 20 SC
Mosey back to the upper lot for:
- People’s Chair with Air Presses while each man gives a 5 count
- Balls to the Wall with each man giving a 5 count
- Repeat the above
Mosey back to the picnic tables and repeat the above exercises for a total of 3 rounds each. The Pax began to attempt to stage a coup as some members questioned why we couldn’t go play in the wet grass of the CLOSED soccer fields. It was in round 2 of the wall exercises that one member questioned why we always started the count with @rooney. YHC firmly re-asserted control over the unruly mob and the workout continued (although some ground was given as @frostedflake was awarded the privilege of starting the final round). The People’s Chair was changed to 1-legged People’s Chair in rounds 2 and 3.
We then moseyed back to the flag for MARY where @lassie led us in a round of
- Low Slow Flutter X 20 IC
As we circled up for COT, @lassie felt led to take us out in a heartfelt prayer praising God for the birth of our savior.
I really enjoyed the workout today and it’s always an honor and pleasure to lead this group of men especially when the Pax is comprised of F3Carterico veterans like today.
