YHC was not planning on being the Q, but that is what happened after someone cut Duck Butter’s balls off, and then Dipper stopped taking my calls, and MyTSharp was forced to flee the state again. It was 19 degrees, not quite as windy as the day before, but still unpleasant, so the turnout was pretty good considering. 13 worked out and a 14th showed up for coffee. There being no FNGs, we moseyed promptly at 5:30am, only to see Flip pull in late. After turning around and picking him up on the mosey, we headed to the front of the museum for . . .
SSHs IC x 15
Sun Gods IC x 15 forward, 15 reverse
Merkin’s Dog SC x 10, dd, x 10
CPs IC x 15
A few stretches, then back to the intersection of Turner and Front St. for . . .
THING ONE – SEVENS x THREE
Back and forth between Turner and Craven Streets: Burpees & Wojos
Back and forth between Craven and Queen Streets: Burpees & LBCs
Back and forth between Queen and Pollock Streets: Burpees & Merkins
We then gathered in front of the post office and partnered up for . . .
THING TWO – DORA
200 Plank Jacks
Running late (because of having to turn around on the initial mosey to pick up a late Flipova), we ran back to the flag with no time for Mary.
The young lady at the Cru Bar was nice enough to let us in 10 minutes early to stay warm while she got the place ready for business. Then our potential bad luck for the day went away when Shroom Starsky’d for coffee, making it a much nicer number of 14. By the way Shroom, since the Q is always counted last, you were number 13.
I really enjoy working out on Front Street in Beaufort. It really isn’t much more of a drive than the one to the Sanitary and I hope to see more of the pax in attendance when the weather gets a little better. One thing though, the city blocks were longer than I thought. I had actually planned a trip to Boss Tweed’s yard, but ran out of time. I was thinking the entire workout was going to be a little over two miles and it ended up being 3.7. Next week Nipple Shot is our Q. As always it was an honor to lead.
