Pastor C put out a late night plea for a Q for the HIN.  I made the mistake of checking my phone before bedtime and saw the request.  I couldn’t turn him down so I agreed.  I whipped out my pack of index cards, pulled up Google Maps and zoomed in to the Carteret University campus and began the preparation.

As the pax circled up, I couldn’t help noticing that the majority of the men were carrying kettlebells.  It looked like the Bellers would outnumber the HINers today.  No matter, it’s good to see the Tinkerbell thriving.  Wilson, the Bell Q, opened up with the welcome, disclaimer, and mission statement and each group went our separate ways.  YHC led the men of HIN westward towards CMAST, the home of the Carteret version of the Wolfpack, and we began.


We opened with the traditional:

  • Side Straddle Hops X 15 IC
  • Sun Gods X 15 Forward and Reverse
  • Abe Vigoda X 15 IC
  • Cotton Picker X 15 IC


We began the Thang with a mosey to one of the parking lots.  The plan was to execute a number exercises then move to a new spot and do a new exercise.  My goal was to do an upper body exercise, a lower body exercise, a core exercise, and end with 5 Burpees before moving to another location.

At the 1st location, we did 20 Merkins, short mosey, 20 Squats, short mosey, 5 Burpees.  Then we moseyed to the next parking lot for 5 Texas Merkins, short mosey, 20 Prisoner Squats, short mosey, 20 LBCs, short mosey, and 5 Burpees.  Then over to the grassy knoll for 20 Carolina Dry Docks, Lt Dans, 20 Box Cutters, short mosey, and 5 Burpees.  We then moseyed over to the Path around the Pond for 20 Alternating Shoulder Taps, mosey to the next corner, 20 Monkey Humpers, mosey to the corner, 20 WWI, mosey to the corner, and 5 Burpees.  Then it was a short mosey to the front lot for 20 Mountain Climbers, Lunge to the end of the lot, and 5 Burpees.  After a long mosey to the top of Deebo Hill, we assembled at the wall for 2 rounds of Ascending Testicles and a round of Peoples Chair.  Then we moseyed to the bottom of the hill where 2 rounds of Howling Monkeys awaited us followed by 5 Burpees.  With a few minutes remaining, the pax moseyed to the benches for 20 Dips, 20 Step Ups, and 20 Urkins, and of course, 5 Burpees.

We moseyed back to the flag just in time to mix in with the Bellers for a little post-workout stretching and we were done.


Blart closed our glorious morning with a heartfelt prayer.


I really enjoyed leading this fine group of men.  It was my honor to workout with each one of you.
