While enroute to Derby City in Starling 1, Bayliner put out a request for a Hero Patriot Q from 20,000 feet over Galax, VA.  When Puddles asked YHC (3 times) to Co-Q with him, how could I turn down those puppy dog eyes?  We accepted the challenge simultaneously with Gertrude.  So we decided to pool our resources and Tri-Q this baby.  The Three Musketeers ride again!  Gertrude (aka Athos, the patriarch of the musketeers, as he is the oldest and seemingly least prone to flights of capricious behavior) would lead the warmarama.  OK, technically Gertrude is the youngest of the 3, but come on, which one of us ACTS the oldest?  Puddles (aka Porthos, revels in fine clothing and fine women) would take the 1st part of The Thang and YHC (Aramis) would come out of the bullpen and close this thing out.  Here’s how it went down:

WARMARAMA

  • SIDE STRADDLE HOPS X 15 IC
  • 3 BURPEES (Pasqually arrived late)
  • SUN GODS X 10 IC FORWARD/REVERSE
  • MERKINS X 10 SC
  • DOWN DOG

Puddles directed the group to the goal line at the western end of the football field where we would perform an exercise, sprint 20 yards, do 3 burpees, and sprint back to the goal line.  The exercises were:

  • MERKINS X 100 (You read that right)
  • SQUATS X 100
  • MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS X 100 IC
  • FREDDIE MERCURIES X 100 IC
  • SPLIT SQUATS X 50 EACH LEG
  • SIDE STRADDLE HOPS X 100 IC
  • “WALL” TOUCH MERKINS X 50 EACH HAND

We closed out this beatdown with a 100 yard sprint to the other goal line and another one back.

YHC took over at this point and had the Pax do an INDIAN RUN WITH AIR PRESSES around the track to the home side bleachers.  There we would do an exercise followed by a BLEACHER SNAKE palate cleanser.  YHC had previewed Puddle’s plan and noted that the shoulders would likely be smoked (and they were) so I would concentrate on the lower body (upper for show, lower for dough, right Lamarr?).  The exercises were:

YHC lifted up prayer requests for Lassie’s brother, Blart’s M, MeeMee’s M and all those requests that were unspoken.
