The day started off with the promise of rain but it stopped just before YHC left the house bound for the friendly confines of Carteret Community College.  It NEVER rains on an F3 workout!  Gert arrived just after I parked the truck and soon the rest of the Pax was pulling into the parking lot.  Big crowd for a gloomy Wednesday morning.  As the Kettlbellers and Hole-In-Noners gathered around I asked Dancehall (Tinkerbell VQ) if he wanted me to do the intro stuff.  He confidently stated that he wanted to give it a shot.  And give it a shot he did, like a BOSS!  With all the formalities out of the way, each group went their separate ways.  The HIN moseyed up to the CMAST grassy field for:

WARMARAMA

  • Side Straddle Hop X 20 IC
  • Cotton Pickers X 20 IC
  • Sun Gods X 20 IC Forward / Reverse
  • Windmill X 20 IC

Then YHC had the Pax mosey to the other side of the pond for:

THE THANG

Four corners around the large grassy area consisted of 10 Burpees at corner 1, 10 Burpees and 20 Merkins at corner 2, 10 Burpees, 20 Merkins, and 30 LBC’s at corner 3, and 10 Burpees, 20 Merkins, 30 LBC’s, and 40 Squats at corner 4.  This strong group of hard-chargers performed this exercise much better than planned and we were several minutes ahead of schedule so I rewarded them with another round.  Needless to say the mumblechatter was non-existent.

Then we moseyed over to a lonely section of street for a round of Ascending Curb Crawl followed by a mosey to Deebo’s Hill where we Bear Crawled to the first light and sprinted to the brick wall.  There the Pax discovered that YHC had dropped off a 25lb kettlebell earlier that morning.  From there

  • People’s chair with Air Press while passing the coupon down the line after 5 presses then returning it back to the other end
  • Balls to the Wall for a 5 count
  • Repeat the 2 exercises above
  • 1 round of Howling Monkeys (not enough time for the requisite 2 rounds)

We moseyed back to the flag where YHC took us out in prayer.
