2 degrees! Just 2 more degrees down on the ole Mercury and YHC would’ve posted in his man tights. But rules are rules and sadly it was shorts only weather in the gloom this morning. In all 16 HIMs, 5 Respects, men of action, and veterans of Carterican workouts joined your boy in the gloom of The Sanitary. Thanks to Gert for supplying the time piece for today’s action. I’d like to blame my lack of a watch on Ann Rives, but I am to blame. With the PAX welcomed and disclaimed we were on the mosey to the triangular park in front of the Bask hotel since the Band of Brothers had overtaken the cutting board. As an aside, why in the world have we not been using this little piece of heaven? It has everything; lights, swings, chain, the smell of bacon, and it seems to be pretty clean. This park shall need a proper name, I offer “Just the Tip” Park. Any who, we circled up in said park for
SSHs IC x25
Cotton Pickers IC x15
Sun Gods IC x15 to the front, x15 reversed
Crab Cakes IC x15 (note…this would be the only time abs would be included in today’s workout. One of us was gassy. Enough said)

The PAX partnered up and moseyed to the eastern tip of the park. Just the tip, just to see how we liked it, for some Dora. It’s been a while since Ole Dora reared her ugly head in Carterico. She seems to have been replaced by her abusive first cousin, Jack Webb. For this Dora-lite, Partner A would run a lap around Just the Tip Park and Partner B would AMRAP the called exercise, and then flap jack until all were complete.
As the PAX finished, each man held a plank with his feet on the chain boundary of Just the Tip park. You’re starting to like that name, aren’t you. It doesn’t make you a bad person. Maybe a little dirty. But Gilligan’s gone, it’s okay now. By the way, holding the plank on the chain is no joke, thank goodness YHC didn’t finish first. Tough luck Gert. I’m sure you cheated it somehow.
Recovering on the mosey, the PAX headed back to Evans St and down to the city park between 10th and 11th. We need to try and get a Billy Zane on the dude sleeping in the gazebo next time. Keeping the same partners, the PAX would perform 10 Boo-Yah Merkins, then run one partner to 9th St and the other to 12th St. Upon reaching that intersection each man did 5 burpees OYO and ran back to the park, if you’re partner wasn’t back continuing on to bring him in. Somehow Rosie got lost in all of this and ran to Shevans Park. So remember kids it doesn’t pay to be so fast that you out run people trying to tell you you’re going the wrong way.
Rally back at the park for 15 Boo-Yah Merkins and then heading to 8th and 13th Streets. Each man had to Bear Crawl across the 9th and 12th St intersections and again perform 5 burpees OYO at the end before jogging back to their partner.
Back at the park for 10 Boo-Yah Merkins and 10 Boo-Yah Squats before heading off to 7th and 14th Streets. On the way this time the PAX did Lt. Dans across each intersection and once again performed 5 burpees OYO before jogging back. Doogie gave us a standing 10 count before moseying back to Just the Tip park. You’re almost anticipating it now.
At the park the PAX got in two lines, one headed by Reef Donkey and the other by Doogie. These two old sandbaggers set the pace for the return trip to the shovel flag. We were rolling. Nice push to finish up a 3.2 mile Table Setter.
Annoucements were Frosted Flake is on the Dreadnought, Puddles has the QAR and Madoff will be Q’ing in Beafort in some sort of Q exchange program I assume.
Prayer concerns for the tragedies in Las Vegas, and how happy we are that Madoff, Dipper, Bunion, and Cheddarbo are home safe. Continued prayers for Doogie’s dad and his convalescence. Somehow we missed the passing of White Boots’ father. White Boots’ we are certainly grieving with you and await any request or need you have.
Steamer took us out in the Ball of Man.
Thanks for showing and going with me this morning gents.
