It was a perfect morning for the Hero and we had a great group of guys show up, so we began quickly. Glad to have Gilligan join us this morning and he always elevates the workout. Glad The 2nd Mile is back and feeling better. Thanks to Blart for bringing the Flag and working hard. Great to see Puddles(Respect) this morning and today was 3 days in a row in working out with Poca- Awesome job Poca. Plunger was leading the pack as usual and setting the tempo. Crabby made XBox wear a 20 lb vest in hopes it would slow him down so that we could all catch up with him- I think Crabby needs to add some more weight!
We moseyed to the tennis courts to warm up: SSH, Windmills, Cotton Pickers, Sun Gods fwd and back, Lt over Rt, Rt over Lt
We ran a lap around the track to the home bleachers for our main event. We did a routine that involved a lap around the track with 4 stops. We started with a Bleacher Snake. Ran to corner of track for 10 merkins and 10 WW1’s. Backpeddled pass scoreboard to other corner for 10 merkins and 10 WW1’s. Ran length of football field to opposite corner for 10 merkins and 10 WW1’s. Backpeddled to last corner for 10 merkins and 10 WW1’s. Ran back to bleachers to close with a bleacher snake.
Round 2 was the same but we increased our reps to 15 merkins and WW1’s at each corner along with beginning and ending bleacher snakes.
We then ran to the pull up bars and partnered up for partner pull ups and dips.
Back to track for round 2 with excercises of Carolina Dry Docks and Squats, along with Bleacher snakes.
100 Merkins, 100 WW1’s, 100 Carolina Dry Docks, 100 Squats, 30 pull ups, 30 dips, 8 bleacher snakes and plenty of running.
Gordy Lee tomorrow
Prayer Requests: Dippers Dad, Families in FL, and all of our Troops!
Today’s workout was about learning what makes a Hero and learning the importance of being ready to be a Hero when the time calls. All of us work hard everyday to get better and continuously strive to be better Father’s, Husbands, Sons, Friends, etc. Being a Hero is not about any single event, but rather being a person that is ready to stand up when needed and works hard everyday to be ready for that time. I think F3 helps us all to be better prepared to step up when we are needed and being around a great group of guys reminds us everyday how we can grow and get better- Bayliner
